Romantically attached, they continue to exchange letters through the boarding school and college years—where Andy goes on to excel at Yale and law school, while Melissa flunks out of a series of “good schools.” While Andy is off at war Melissa marries someone else, but her attachment to Andy remains strong and she continues to keep in touch as he marries, becomes a successful attorney, gets involved in politics and, eventually, is elected to the U.S. Senate. Meanwhile, her marriage in tatters, Melissa dabbles in art and gigolos, drinks more that she should, and becomes estranged from her children. Eventually she and Andy do become involved in a brief affair, but it is really too late for both of them. However Andy’s last letter, written to her mother after Melissa’s untimely death, make it eloquently clear how much they really meant, and gave to, each other over the years—physically apart, perhaps, but spiritually as close as only true lovers can be.

Little House on the Prairie 1/9/2010 2:00 PM - 1/10/2010

Little House on the Prairie

Arnold Lobel's beloved characters hop from the page to the stage in Robert and Wille Reale's musical A Year with Frog & Toad. Developed by Mr. Lobel's daughter, Adrianne Lobel, the stage musical remains true to the spirit of the original stories as it follows two great friends, the cheerful and popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad, through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation in the spring, they proceed to plant gardens, swim, rake leaves and go sledding, learning life lessons along the way, including a most important one about friendship and rejoicing the things that make each of us different and special.

Best for ages 4 and up.

A Year with Frog and Toad 1/16/2010 3:00 PM - 1/16/2010

A Year with Frog & Toad

B2B is a great opportunity for you to represent, advertise, sell and network with other businesses over lunch. A typical Business-to-Business usually attracts more than 140 registered attendees, and that means there are more people for you to meet.

B2B lunches are hosted every other month. Here's how they work: Six to eight business reps are seated at a table. Each participant has five minutes to promote his/her products and services. To get the most out of your session, bring brochures, business cards, product samples and promotional items to hand out or display.

Each person has 5 minutes to market their business to other business professionals at the table during the round-robin event. Ticket prices include meal, speaker presentation, round-robin networking and company marketing and door prizes!

Maximize your company’s visibility by reserving a Vendor Table to display your products or services for just $20.

One lucky attendee will win a door prize generously donated by Microsoft Local Engagement Team.

Register by January 15th for just $25 for members, or $30 for nonmembers; after January 15, registration is $30 for members or $35 for nonmembers.
Baum Walker Hall

Four years ago we lost an exceptional artist and major ambassador of tap dance, Gregory Hines. This production pays tribute to Gregory and to the numerous legends of tap dance with a fresh and dynamic glance at the past as well as a contemporary look at the many generation of gifted tap artists whose "soles" they have guided and touched to the present.

Featuring eight world-class hoofers, three jazz musicians, multi-media projections and narrative creating a rich and diverse kaleidoscope of tap dance history.

RLT presents: Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn 2/12/2010 - 11/28/2009

Twain's timeless classic sweeps us down the mighty Mississippi as the irrepressible Huck Finn helps his friend Jim, a slave, escape to freedom at the mouth of the Ohio River. Their adventures along the way are hilarious, suspenseful and heartwarming, bringing to life your favorite characters from the novel--the Widow Douglas and her stern sister, Miss Watson; the uproarious King and Duke, who may or may not be as harmless as they seem; Huck's partner in crime, Tom Sawyer, and their rowdy gang of pals; Huck's drunken father, the sinister Pap Finn; the lovely Mary Jane Wilkes and her trusting family. Propelled by an award winning score from Roger Miller, the king of country music, this jaunty journey provides a brilliantly theatrical celebration of pure Americana.
