Event Description: It’s noon, June 6, 1944. A 19-year-old Jewish kid from Chicago crawls up the beach at Normandy. How does he survive one near miss after another, anti-Semitism in his own ranks, suicide missions – all to become the last man standing from his original platoon? Art Herzberg’s daughter Amy asks just that, literally stepping into a pair of combat boots to portray her father’s war.
