Event Description:
Whose Life Are You Running For? Participate in the 15th Annual Komen Ozark Race for the Cure®, to be held Saturday April 27th at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall in Rogers, AR, and show everyone whose life you are running for. Are you running for your mother, your sister, a co-worker, a friend? Are you running for your own life? Or are you running for the future? No matter whose life you are running for, now is the time to get involved and run for their life! If you would like a tutorial click here. Race Registration office information 2013 Race Registration office dates April 5th- All teams mailing paper forms need to be postmarked by this date to guarantee packing with teams. April 5th and 6th- Team paper drop-off Pinnacle Hills Mall location only April 11th- Grand Opening of the Pinnacle Hills office April 14th- will be the last day for teams to register online April 18th-Team pick-up begins Pinnacle Hills Mall location only Race Registration office hours for Roger’s Pinnacle Hills Mall office: located in the old Fossil location next to Hot Topic across the street from Hollisters April 5th and 6th 10am -6pm for team registration paper packet drop off's April 11th-13th- 10am – 6pm April 14th- 1pm – 5:00pm April 15th -18th 10am – 6pm April 19th and 20th 10am – 8pm April 21st 1pm – 5:00pm April 22nd 10am- 8pm Race Registration for Fayetteville Northwest Arkansas Mall Walk up registrations and individual packet pickup location to be determined April 12th and 13th 10am-6:00pm April 14th 1pm – 5:00pm April 19th and 20th 10:00 am- 6:00pm April 21st 1pm – 5:00pm Race Registration for the Fort Smith Area April 18th-25th- 11am-3:00pm 1508 Rogers Ave Fort Smith, AR Event Activities New for 2013 Our top two individual fundraisers will receive one Roundtrip air transportation on American Airlines or American Eagle to any destination in the contiguous United States. Limit one (1) ticket per household. Top fundraisers will be notified by May 15. All funds must be received by the Ozark affiliate no later than 5-10-13 be considered. Survivor Breakfast Drop in our survivor breakfast. Breast cancer survivors and one guest are invited to stop by our Survivor Reunion Breakfast sponsored by Walmart/Sam's Club join us at your leisure in the Food Pavilion between 7:00 and 9:00 am. The survivor parade and photo will start at the Food Pavilion at 7:45 am. Competitive 10K Race Join us again this year for our 10K course sponsored by Phillips The course is certified by USAFT and each participant will be timed and receive a commemorative medal. Awards will be given to the top three place survivors, male and female participants. All participants should be registered and packets picked up by close of business on April 26th Race starts at 7:30 am. Competitive 5K Race The competitive event features a 5K course certified by the USAFT. This year we are excited to include chip-timing in your registration fee. This race is sponsored by Dean Foods All participants should be registered and packets picked up by close of business on April 26th Race starts at 8:00 am Non-Competitive 5K Race The non-competitive event will be on 5K course certified by the USAFT. This is for those that want to run or walk the 5K at their own pace. Race starts 8:30 am Family Fun Walk Not up for the full 5K? Join us for the Family Fun Walk 1K course through Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall. Bring the whole family and enjoy a more leisurely pace while continuing to make an impact against breast cancer. Walk start time 9:00 am Pasta Party The Washington Regional sponsored 2013 Susan G. Komen Pasta Party has undergone a transformation. Not only has our venue changed to the Pratt Barn of Pratt in & Barn, Fayetteville, AR This year's event will be Friday, April 26th from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Event tickets are $25.00 per person. Children under 6 eat free. Sleep In for the Cure® Not a morning person? Out of town on Race day? Register for our Sleep In for the Cure program sponsored by Hank's & More Fine Furniture. Registration includes a special Sleep In for the Cure t-shirt mailed to your home prior to the race, if registered by April 13, 2013. Kids for the Cure® Kids 12 and under, along with their parents, are invited to join in the fun of the post-race party at Kids for the Cure. Founding sponsor Willard & Pat Walker Charitable Foundation, Inc. and presenting sponsor invite you to this kid-friendly area featuring food, fun, and our Kid’s Dash sponsored by Kids will receive a special and uniquely designed Kids for the Cure t-shirt. The first 2,000 kids on Race day will receive a Kids for the Cure race medal sponsored by Pepperidge Farm Parental supervision is required. Kids Dash starts 10:00 am Bark for the Cure Bring your dog to PetSmart at Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall for the Komen Ozark Bark for the Cure sponsored by Milkbone Walk your best friend through the 1k route with a water stop at the end. Prizes will be given in the following categories throughout the event. • Ugliest dog • Pink Pride • Dog/Owner look alike • Biggest dog • Smallest dog • Best trick One dog per participant please. Information you will need to know about race day click here Walk begins 8:00am Teens for the Cure This is a wonderful way for schools in our community to sho their support by putting together a team of students to walk, run, cheer or volunteer. Any school or organization that is interested in this philanthropic venue can sign up online as part of your school or organizations team. You will eceive a specially designed "Teens for the Cure" t-shirt. The cost is $10 and you must be signed up as part of a team through your school or organization. Volunteers New and returning volunteers are encouraged to get involved. Race volunteers will receive a t-shirt courtesy of Quilted Northern Ultra in appreciation of their efforts.
